We had a marvelous vacation in Pagosa Springs, Colorado the last week of September into the start of October. The guys fished, we ladies did thread work, we all rode a hot air balloon, and saw the trees change to their fall colors. Even though it rained several days we enjoyed ourselves the entire week.

This trip I planned my tatting. I took colors I needed, plenty of shuttles, and the pattern I was going to work on. I even got more done that I thought I might. I tatted in the car, both going out and coming home, and tatted at the cabin. I was quite pleased with myself.
And then we got home and I couldn't find one of the finished pieces. I looked in the truck, my tatting bag, my purse, everywhere I thought it might be. It was not found. I decided to quit worrying about it and just go on. A few days later...
Found!
I was looking for something else in a bag I swore I had looked through before, and there is was, tucked in the side all safe and sound. Yay!
This is part of what I'm hoping will be my Christmas ornament this year for family and friends. So far I've only got the easy stuff done, the basic tatting. Now I need to get on with it and finish one.
